The Nammi.is Terms and Conditions Iceland presented here were validated in January 2000.
1. Product Delivery - Returns
Delivery times vary per product and delivery method chosen during checkout. Shipping options are clearly provided at that time. Nammi.is delivers products worldwide. Customers in Iceland and abroad are responsible for delivery and import fees.
If your scheduled delivery time has passed with no receipt, or you have questions, please email: info@nammi.is. Returns are the customer’s responsibility, including shipment costs.
Returns of perishable goods such as ice cream, food, bread, or limited expiry items are not accepted. After dispatch, Nammi.is can’t control postal services and won’t accept liability for late delivery. Customers should insure products during transport.
Terms and Conditions Iceland on Product Damage During Transport and Delivery
Due to fragile products like shipped Easter eggs, Nammi.is disclaims responsibility for breakages during transit. Customers can purchase Captain Shipping Protection to cover damages.
- Protection applies only if selected at checkout.
- Claims must be filed within 15 days after delivery or expected delivery date.
- Supporting evidence such as tracking info, photos, or police reports (for stolen items over $300) may be required.
- Replacements depend on product availability.
- Fraudulent claims disqualify future eligibility.
- The fee is non-refundable, unless mistakenly selected before shipping.
Nammi.is reserves the right to modify these terms anytime.
3. Cancellation Right / Right to Return and Refund
Buyers have 60 days to cancel a purchase if unused and returned unopened in good condition. Sealed packages must remain unopened. The cancellation period starts on delivery.
The invoice must be included with the returned product. Refunds occur after product return and inspection. Delivery charges are not refunded. For questions, contact SG Veitingar ehf / nammi.is.
4. Privacy Policy
Nammi.is protects personal information as per Icelandic privacy laws. Information is used internally for marketing, service improvement, purchase authorization, and notifying customers about offers or updates.
Non-identifiable info may be shared with partners to improve products and services. No personal data is shared with third parties without consent. Customers may request data access, corrections, or deletions at no charge.
Customers opting in for SMS receive updates and promotions. Standard messaging rates apply. Opt-out anytime by texting "STOP".
5. Copyright and Trademarks
All website materials, including the Nammi.is logo, design, text, graphics, and arrangement are Nammi.is property. Printing or electronic copying for informational, non-commercial personal use is allowed.
Any other use, including commercial use, reproduction, modification, or distribution without prior written permission, is prohibited. Unauthorized photo use incurs a charge of ISK 50,000/month per photo.

This website and its contents are provided "as is" without warranties. Nammi.is disclaims all implied and express warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Content may be inaccurate or incomplete.
Nammi.is does not guarantee the site or servers are virus or harmful-component free.
7. Limitation of Liability
Nammi.is is not liable for direct, special, indirect, or consequential damages. This includes lost profits, data, or use from website access or materials. Liability is limited by Icelandic law.

Prices may change without notice. All prices include VAT or show prices without VAT as appropriate. Invoices may include VAT based on delivery location.
Many countries impose additional taxes or import fees. Customers should check local regulations. Orders shipped to the United States include U.S. taxes at checkout. DHL surcharges apply during peak seasons worldwide and are part of shipping fees.
9. Shipping Information and Store Pickup
Shipping estimates are available after items are added to the cart using the "Shipping Estimator". Food deliveries are not available to Canada, UK, Australia, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, or the US currently. This may change.
Inside Iceland, shipping options include Airmail, Nammi.is Same Day Home Delivery, Dropp, or Store Pickup (call first).
Worldwide registered shipping uses Airmail (5–15 working days) or Express Services via DHL and Fedex (3–5 days), but customs may delay delivery.
Store pickup is available at Nammi.is’ location in Hafnarfjordur. Visitors or friends can pick up orders if arranged ahead.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Disputes under these terms will be settled in Reykjavik district court. Icelandic law governs the interpretation and enforcement of these Terms and Conditions Iceland.
