One of the national treasures of Iceland is our Marital bliss cake.

The cake has been a part of Icelandic celebrations for generations and therefore it is necessary to take home with you. With good and simple ingredients, it is made without effort and is absolutely delicious.

In Litlabýlí, breakfast is offered where the emphasis is on home baking, where you can find homemade jam, marmalade, and marital bliss. Little Farm's guests had a tendency to wish they could buy the marriage bliss from the breakfast buffet, but as everyone knows, not much would be spent on it after many days in a suitcase.

The recipe for conjugal bliss belongs to polysyld and the same with jams. I then lose the rhubarb from my great-grandfather's garden. Our rhubarb garden is on Ingjallssandi next to a smokehouse where grayling, ham, and sausage rolls were smoked in years past and the ashes then spread over the garden which gives this unique taste. The rhubarb we use in our jam is Vienna rhubarb, it is finer, sweeter, and redder than the commonly known rhubarb. 

Rhubarb is an herb that always grows no matter what the weather, and is best picked in midsummer.
