Children’s Cod Liver Oil from LYSI is the result of product development with the consultancy of parents and children, having in mind the needs of children. The product contains vitamins A, D and E. It is also a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, one of which is the fatty acid DHA which plays an important role in the development of the brain and central nervous system.
Children’s Cod Liver Oil has vitamins A and D which are necessary to ensure the normal growth of teeth and bones and healthy eyesight. Cod liver oil is also beneficial for overall health and for preventing common ailments. The manufacturing process for LYSI’S Children’s Cod Liver Oil ensures that the amounts of vitamins A and D in the oil are suitable for children.
Research has indicated that omega-3 fatty acids have many positive effects on the growth and development of children.
Cod liver oil can be used for children 6 months and older.
According to the Public Health Institute of Iceland the recommended daily intake for children 6 months and older are 300 µg for vitamin A, 10 µg for vitamin D and 3 mg for vitamin E. Approximately 5 ml dose of cod liver oil should be suitable.
