The Zopure cosmetics are based on more than a quarter of a century of research and development work by scientists at the University of Iceland. The research focused on the proteolytic digestive enzymes of the North Atlantic cod and the development of methods to isolate, purify and use them in skin care products. The product, which is the basic ingredient in Zopure cosmetics, is called Penzyme.
