The name of this 100 % natural product - þangskegg in Icelandic, literally translates to Seaweed beard, and draws attention to how the threads of the Sea Truffles look like a beard. Sea Truffles live indirectly on the seaweed specie, Ascophyllum nodosum, also known as the Norwegian Kelp.
Dried Sea Truffles are an excellent substitute for shellfish and are great for seasoning salads, sauces, breads and relishes. Ideal for sprinkling over seafood and margherita pizza, fish soups and fish casseroles.
