Cod liver is rich in omega-3 and vitamin D. It is not only healthy, but delicious as well. It is a pure product, excellent with salads or with crackers with butter as an appetizer. The raw cod liver is dipped in salt brine, cleaned and trimmed, which gives it a delicate flavour.
Cod liver spread on toast

2 Cans cod liver • 70g Walnuts • 100g Hard cheese
Lemon juice • Fresh dill • Salt & pepper
Cod liver (with oil) is put into a bowl and mashed with a fork. Crush the walnuts into small pieces and mix it in with the cod liver. Mix in grated cheese and finely chopped dill.
Add lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.
Serve spread on toasted slices of white bread.
Trim with finely cut spring onion.
