Iceland's eerie landscape and long, dark winters have resulted in a rich
heritage of folklore.
The mountainous landscape, harsh climate and long
winter darkness must have made it easy, in times gone by, to imagine
ghosts, trolls and other supernatural creatures lurking around every
corner.
The CD is a collection of 13 local legends, designed to accompany
the traveller around Iceland. The stories themselves are retold by a
narrator, and enriched by actors and music.
